My name is Colleen Thorne. I began our breeding program with Pomeranians in 1991. We may never have started breeding at all if it weren't for my husband Michael's allergy to cats. Fortunately that "closed door" forced us to look at small dogs, and ultimately the Pomeranian. We had bad experiences with the first several breeders that we dealt with. One day I was praying about why more breeders weren't ethical and honest , and I felt that I should stand with those who were and be an example. So began Glory Hound Kennels. It was my husbands love for the bigger dogs that drew us to the Rottweiler and eventually Doberman Pinschers. We love many different breeds of dogs, but in order to maintain high quality standards and ensure that they never lack personal attention, we limit ourselves to our favorite ; The Doberman Pinscher. Our goals are first; to produce genetically sound, highly trainable, companions of unsurpassed beauty. And lastly; to be available to the adoptive family for as long as they would like in whatever capacity is needed. We don't just sell puppies- our pups enrich lives.
